The
Ministry of Planning and Investment has licensed the establishment of
$6.6mil DK ENC Company Ltd, which will run the project on a 36-hole
golf course in Ha Tay Province.
The
golf course, called Sky Lake Golf and Resort Club will have the total
investment capital of $22mil. DK ENC has received an agreement on
leasing 200 ha of land in the Van Son lake area in Chuong My district
for the project.
The
project will be developed in two stages. In the first stage, a 18-hole
golf course and a club house will be put into operation 20 months after
the investor completes the procedures on land leasing and site
clearance.
At
present, many other golf courses are also under construction in the
north of Vietnam. The fact that many investors want to run golf course
projects here should be seen as the result of higher inflow of foreign
direct investment into Vietnam, which leads to the increase in the
demand for many high-grade services.
The
Hanoi Peoples’ Committee several days ago had a meeting, discussing the
solutions to speed up the implementation of the golf course project in
Dong Anh district in the suburb of Hanoi. This is a joint venture
between Vietnamese and Thai investors, which has the total investment
capital of $14.5mil.
There
are three operational golf courses in the north, including Dong Mo in
Ha Tay province, Chi Linh in Hai Duong province and Tam Dao in Vinh
Phuc province.
Foreign
investors are moving ahead with their projects on the 100% Japanese
owned golf course in Hanoi and the 100% Korean owned golf course in Hoa
Binh Province. In addition, investors are also looking for suitable
land plots in Xuan Mai town in Hoa Binh province for another golf
course project.
